This is a book cover I designed for the novel The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. The muddy water is supposed to signify the many problems the family faces, the main one being alcoholism, and how they continually drown the main character. Each component, including the title, was cut out by hand before being layered on top of each other and photographed.
